Penticton/Summerland RCMP Victim Services Unit has an opening for Victim Services Program Auxiliary workers committed to teamwork and excellent delivery of services for victims and witnesses of crime and trauma.  This is a casual position working as and when required.
 
The successful candidate will assist the Program in delivery of services in accordance with RCMP Victim Services policies.  This includes direct client service and liaison with other outside agencies.  Teamwork and independent judgment are required and the successful candidate will be expected to work under conditions of trauma and conflict.
 
The ideal candidate will:

  • Have a degree in a related social services field plus a minimum of two years’ experience in a social services program, preferably with volunteers;
  • Posses exceptional communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, computer skills and a sound knowledge of the criminal justice system and victim services;
  • Be required to maintain an RCMP security clearance and hold a valid class 5 BC driver’s license.
