International Student Advisor/Student Support Services- Full time

A busy and dynamic ESL/ High School Focused company located in downtown is looking for a Portuguese, Vietnamese or Spanish speaking student advisor. Job Description:

The Student Advisor / Student Support Services will work with international students to assist with their daily needs, program placement, and academic counselling. This person will also handle communication with existing local and overseas partners, as well as expanding partnerships and company initiatives

Proficiency in both in English and Portuguese, Vietnamese or Spanish
Excellent Problem-solving skills, organization and the ability to prioritize
Interpersonal skills & the ability to follow instruction
Attention to details, accurate data entry
Ability to respond to the high volume of inquiries efficiently
Meet deadlines and keep a positive attitude
Advanced skills of Microsoft Office
Detail-oriented, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work both in teams and independently
Friendly, patient and able to work in a culturally diverse atmosphere.

REQUIREMENTS:
-Post-secondary diploma
-Minimum 1 year of office administration/assistant experience and/or related ESL experience
-Client follow-up/fostering customer satisfaction.
-Strong data entry skills, with excellent ability to organize and prioritize.
-Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office: Access, Word, Excel and typing skills.
-Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service abilities.
-Excellent filling and organizational skills.
-Focused, shows initiative.
-Excellent command of the English language is required.
-Strong grammar; spelling.
-Impeccable phone manner (natural ease and ability to connect with clients)
-Carry emergency line on weekends according to the shift given to each staff (every 5-7 weeks approx.)
-Be flexible- Sometimes this is not a 9-5 job.
