Services Required: Reporting to the FWS Program Director, the Project Manager, Application Planning and Readiness is responsible for: Application Planning and Readiness Activities Maintaining the application assessment list / findings including: application status (i.e. Windows 10 compatibility, etc.). Updating/revising the application roadmap in support of the overall FWS deployment strategy (ongoing). Lead the Application Readiness Planning effort including alignment to the overall FWS deployment plan, interdependent projects (e.g. CST) and sustainment activities. Work in collaboration with the Workplace Technology & Services Applications Team Lead to coordinate Windows 10/Virtual application readiness activities. Oversee the work of project application testers (in collaboration with sustainment lead) to ensure timely and effective application remediation and readiness in alignment with the overall plan. Co-review application intake with sustainment Application LeadSchedule application readiness activities including prioritization and complexity assessments.Management of IBM project services supporting application readiness activities.Conduct regular status meetings with application readiness teams to ensure remediation efforts are on track; identify and resolve escalate issues as they arise.Engage with business stakeholders to gather application requirements and scheduling testing. Liaise with IMITS Communications to develop and execute effective communications and change management plans (including engagement with BWG and site sponsors as required). Support the development of training materials (i.e. for business, clinical and technical users) and other documentation to support workstation deployments. Address issues/risks related to application planning/pipeline processes, change management, stakeholder buy-in and user experience. Tool standardization as it relates to FWS/program application pipeline process, and where other opportunities present (i.e. EA, CST, etc.). Working closely with the Windows 10 SAC Readiness and Sustainment team to support and inform efforts to ready the client for Win 10 SAC adoption and sustainment. Project Management activities: Adherence to FWS PMO and IMITS PQTO standards, metrics, processes, procedures and practices. Management of integrated project dependencies including PQTO engagement and CST alignment / co-planning. Chair/facilitate business engagement and status meetings (inclusive of agenda, minutes and other meeting materials). Conducts regularly scheduled status reviews, identifies deviations to work plan/schedule and implements corrective action(s). Communicates project status, actions and issues; and provides full project reporting through the project governance structure (including contribute work stream specific reporting to standard PQTO status reports and Executive Sponsor / Steering Committee decks). Delegates appropriate tasks and responsibilities to project team resources. Maintains all project-related documentation, including project plan, status reports, “lessons learned”, change control, risk/issue, communications, etc. for the application planning/readiness work stream. Identifies and tracks metrics as they relate to the project deliverables; describes problems and generates solutions for team problem-solving. Liaises and coordinates with other project streams leads and associated stakeholders to ensure alignment. Draft reports, briefing notes, and other supportive documentation for higher level management and governance working groups. Contribute subject matter expertise to future iterations of the FWS business case. Maintains effective and regular communication with all stakeholders (i.e. Site Sponsors, IMITS Communications, Clinical/Change teams, Application Readiness teams, IMITS Clinical Application teams, FWS Project Director, FWS Technical teams, Workspace Technology Services team and other project streams) on all related matters. Provides support to the FWS Program Director (e.g. strategy, plan, schedule, reporting and risk/issues) to ensure FWS’s ability meet required timelines and deliverables, as well as issue escalation and resolution. Work cross-functionally to solve problems and implement changes. Work in collaboration with FWS business/clinical readiness team, FWS technical solutioning team, FWS Win 10 SAC Readiness team and Workplace Technology & Services sustainment team to integrate and align planning, solutioning and readiness activities for Virtualization technology enablers and Windows 10. Core Deliverables: Contribute to current state documentation of testing approaches; to support the development of the Windows 10 SAC testing approach. Application Assessment (continuous updates to existing document ensure a current version is available at the end of project). Application Roadmap to support deployment scheduling/planning. Project Management artifacts for Application Planning/Readiness Work stream including: Status reportsProject PlansRisk and Issue LogsMeeting Agendas and MaterialsAction and Decision LogsDocument repository for Application Readiness Work stream.Customer-requested reports on application status. Direct reports: Application Certification Testers (4 to 8 ACTs; depending on project phase)Access Database Remediators (1 to 2; depending on project phase) Specific Qualifications or Experience Required: Critical skillset include: Comprehensive knowledge and experience with Project Management principals, methodologies and change management practices/trends. PMP certification is an asset. Familiarity and understanding of application testing and user acceptance testing processes. Analytical and broad-based technical knowledge/skills; with ability to think through details and tactics without losing sight of overall strategic goals. Exceptional tactical and critical strategic thinking. Prior experience working on IT/infrastructure and/or clinical/healthcare projects. Experience working within PHSA and with BC Health Authorities is highly preferred. Strong business acumen with the ability to effectively monitor and execute project plans with stringent timelines. Strong interpersonal skills to effectively facilitate discussions with a diverse group of stakeholders, users, etc. Strong team leadership skills that motivate and encourage collaboration. Understanding of how to interpret customer business and clinical needs. Excellent written and verbal communication, including business and technical writing skills.
