CBI Health Group is looking for a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant to join our talented multidisciplinary team with our Monarch House division located in Coquitlam and Burnaby, British Columbia. Primary Duties Provide Speech Language Pathologist Assistant services to children with developmental disabilities according to the recommendation of the therapist treatment plan and under the supervision of the SLP. Maintain regular ongoing communication with the pathologist regarding any changes or concerns about a residents status or treatment interventions. Assist the recreation team in leading exercise classes. Assist the Speech Language Pathologist in providing appropriate equipment for the clients Maintain the equipment before and after they are used. Qualifications Qualifications Possess a post-secondary diploma as a Therapy Assistant, or have related coursework and experience (3rd year Linguistics or Speech Science courses or higher) Be dedicated to providing the highest quality of client care. Have excellent time management and organizational skills with an ability to work independently. Be comfortable working collaboratively within and interdisciplinary team. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Be empathetic with an effective ability to build rapport with residents. Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
