Program Assistant (Burnaby)

BCI Consulting Inc. is a counselling and consulting firm located in Metrotown Burnaby, offering services across British Columbia, Alberta and Saskatchewan. In particular, BCI is a highly respected provider of Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP) services. We are looking for a Program Assistant to work in our office starting July 9th, 2018. This is a small office environment, and the ideal candidate will be able to work collaboratively with office staff and be ready to help out wherever necessary.

Responsibilities Include:
• Provides administrative support to Owner and Senior Program Co-ordinator
• Answers phones and makes appropriate referrals
• Keeps files up to date
• Data entry and management
• Producing quarterly, semi-annual & annual reports
• Creating and editing newsletters, posters, and content for website
• Ordering office supplies

Skills Needed:
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel & Access
• Able to interpret data for use in reports
• Ability to work both collaboratively and independently, as required
• Able to deal with stressful situations and difficult clients
• Excellent multi-tasking, problem-solving and critical thinking capabilities
• Experience with Accounting and QuickBooks a plus

Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences/Administration/Business or related field
• Preferred 1-2 years’ experience but will train the right candidate
