Office Manager/Accounting (Surrey)

As the office manager you will:

Process a variety of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Prepare bank deposits & cheque runs
Prepare quarterly GST returns
Prepare monthly PST Returns
Run bi-weekly payroll (ADP)
Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
Assist with month-end and quarter-end journal entries
Complete Annual T-4’s
Answer and direct the phone calls
prepare AP invoices and submit
Prepare and pay AR
prepare and pay source deductions
complete year end tax preparations for submission to company accountant
issuing purchase orders to field personnel and tracking them in the system
purchasing flights, materials, office supplies or equipment as directed by management
problem solving so the owner doesn’t have too.

Our ideal candidate has the following experience and traits:

Proficiency using Quickbooks Online
Intermediate Excel skills
5+ years’ experience with A/P, A/R, bank & G/L reconciliations
Payroll experience (union company preferred)
experience with month-end/year-end close process
Enrollment in the CPA program or equivalent accounting program is an requirement
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Attention to detail is a must-have
Excellent problem solving skills
Is self-motivated

Able to show up on time and work a complete day

Qualifications and Skills

A degree or student in accounting is required
