Millwright/Industrial Maintenance – Delta

Our Delta Plant is looking for a full-time Millwright responsible for installing, inspecting, adjusting and repairing equipment while following safety rules and regulations. You will be required to maintain all equipment to required standards and be responsive to production needs and equipment failures. You will work as part of a team but would routinely perform work independently and maintain a high level of accuracy and safety, while performing your duties.Responsibilities:Install, adjust and/or repair machines, equipment, mechanical systems, buildings and other structures.Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect irregularities and malfunctions performing repair tasks quickly and precisely, keeping downtime to a minimum.Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of machinery to ensure proper operations.Perform routine preventative maintenance work on machinery.Operate machine tools to fabricate parts required.Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.Adhere to preventative maintenance programs.Maintain inventory equipment, supplies and materials.Perform other related duties incidental to the work described.Be willing and able to work in different Canadian Fishing Company facilities in the lower mainland as required during off-season.Perform other duties incidental to the work described herein.

Requirements:Ability to work safely and efficiently; knowledge of safety regulations and practices.Be willing to learn electrical, hydraulic, mechanical systems, electronics, welding and machining.Ability to follow instructions and read blueprints.Ability to develop and sustain cooperative working relationships with co-workers, contractors and company management.Ability to anticipate, troubleshoot and solve problems.Strength and agility are necessary for lifting and climbing.Must be available for all hours of operation including overtime and weekend work as required.Strong communications skills and fluency in EnglishExperience in maintenance in a manufacturing/ food production plant is an asset, but not a requirement.At Canadian Fishing Company we offer a stable, friendly work environment, competitive wages and benefits.Please contact Craig via TEXT or EMAIL or 778-228-4297
