The District of Summerland is seeking a skilled individual to be responsible for leading and implementing the Aquatics and Fitness Centre maintenance program as well as providing aquatic responsibilities such as lifeguarding, swim lessons, aquatic program instruction, and cashiering.

The ideal candidate will be a dependable, team-player with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills who enjoys a variety of tasks in an ever-changing work environment. If you have knowledge and experience of pool mechanical maintenance, pool chemistry and equipment repair servicing and operation, along with the required skillset and certifications to lifeguard and instruct, we want you at the District of Summerland!  A detailed list of qualifications and a job description is available at www.summerland.ca/jobs.

The current working schedule for this position is Tuesday to Saturday, 2:00pm – 10:00pm, 35 hours per week, however, the qualified candidate will be scheduled as required to meet operational needs which may include early mornings, evenings and weekends. This is a full-time union position (CUPE 1136) and the hourly wage range is $26.33 – $27.72 per hour along with a competitive benefits package and pension.
