Apply to this amazing Web Performance Engineer opportunity today!ADVANTAGESWhat’s in it for you!• Leading market annual rates.• Strong probability of contract extension.RESPONSIBILITIESWhat you’ll be doing?As a Web Performance Engineer with our Vancouver client, you will:• Work closely with system owners to evaluate and recommend performance improvements for our guest facing platforms. • Work at a code level to optimize JavaScript, CSS, HTML and other elements. • Evangelize the benefits of performance and mentor developers and product owners throughout the organization. • Push yourself continuously to innovate, publish the improvements to all the stakeholders, and depict the improvements using data points. • Documentation of processes and new learnings, writing white papers and sharing with your peers, team and upper management will unlock fantastic career opportunities within this growing organization.QUALIFICATIONSEssential• Completed Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related experience.• 3 or more years’ experience in a Web Performance Engineer role• Expertise in web communication technologies (HTTP, SSL, Headers, Cookies, caching)• Expertise in node.js, React, JavaScript, CSS and HTML5 optimization• Expertise in Web Performance data analysis, including waterfalls and Lighthouse reports• Optimization of web applications in AWS environmentsImportant• AWS platform and Github• Knowledge of RESTful and SOAP web services• Following agile sprint development cycles using JIRA/Confluence or similar platform• Analyzing test results and creating recommendations reports• Experience working on Akamai platform, familiar with Edge Workers• Ability to create and modify web performance testing tools• Google Web Core Vitals and Lighthouse• Maintenance of Adobe Launch for vendor script management• Using analytics tools to calculate dollar value of performance improvementBonus• Experience with tools such as Blue Triangle, Thousand Eyes, AppDynamics, Sentry and Splunk• Development of, or implementation of CI/CD pipelines• Linux-based container management with Terraform, Docker and Kubernetes, with Jenkins• iOS application performance assessment• Machine learning with R, Pytorch or Tensorflow.SUMMARYApply now to this amazing Web Performance Engineer opportunity with our Vancouver client.
