Construction of Powell River’s new Wastewater Treatment Facility is underway and planned to be in service in 2023. The new Wastewater Treatment Plant will significantly improve how we treat our wastewater and minimize our human impact on the marine environment.
The ideal applicant will have the following:
- Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License
- E.O.C.P. Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Level 3 Certificate (Required)
- Confined Space Entry Training
- S.C.B.A. Training
- Thorough knowledge of SCADA operation
This is a C.U.P.E. Local 798 bargaining unit position offering 40 hours per week, and a current hourly rate of $40.11.
