Technical Sales Representative – Automation Industry

Our client in the automation industry is looking for a keen self-starter to add to their sales team.

This person is in charge of the company’s front end sales and needs to have a knack for capturing and creating opportunities.

Our client is looking for someone who is fine with being on the road and front facing customers. A good portion of this person’s role will be to do presentations.

This person needs to have a collaborative nature while also being an independent hunter.

This role involves:

-working closely with the management and sales team
-business development and increasing market share with existing customers
-participating in sales development strategies and training
-fostering and maintaining relationships with prospect and clients
-using the tools provided to create strategic sales plans
-understanding and using the KPIs to drive business forward
-maintaining and upgrading product knowledge
-building and maintaining relationships with supplies
-traveling and being on the road to do presentations

Qualifications
• relevant experience in automation and/or integration
• engineering degree with sales experience

-desire to keep learning and growing; open-minded to continuing education/training
-entrepreneurial spirit and ability to take ownership of his/her business
-valid driver’s license and access to vehicle
-strong verbal and written communication skills
-ability to build strong rapport and foster relationships with prospects, clients, sales team, and suppliers
-good listening and problem-solving skills
-strong sales acumen through consultative selling
-great ability to network
