Tax Administrative Assistant

Our client in Kamloops, BC is looking for a Tax Administrative Assistant for the duration of tax season.The individual must have a strong understanding of Microsoft programs and basic accounting or have worked in a public accounting office. This individual’s main focus will be on T1 documents, so the candidate is required to have the technical experience on this topic.ADVANTAGES-$18-$20/hr-M-F-40hrs/week-experience working with a large reputable companyRESPONSIBILITIES• Providing proficient administrative support to partners, managers, and clients• Welcoming clients by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries • Proofing and finalizing financial statements and other financial documents• Preparing proposals, engagement letters and client billings• Managing electronic files and databases• Expense reporting• Scheduling and coordinating meetings and/or appointments• Typing letters and transcription (handwritten) as requested• Perform other administrative duties such as filing, arranging for couriers, ordering supplies, photocopying, collating, and faxing QUALIFICATIONS• 3-5 years experience, or Post-secondary education – Eg. administrative diploma/certificate + 1 year work experience• Professional, eager to learn and become a strong contributing member to our administrative team• Ability to prioritize and skilled at working within tight deadlines on multiple projects• Takes initiative, with strong problem-solving skills• Proven success of completing work with a high degree of accuracy and detail• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Proficiency with MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint• Experience with AP, AR, or any accounting software is an additional benefit (Ex.
