Senior Implementation Consultant


Job Description:PurposeThe primary purpose of this role is to:● Implement and support FinancialForce and associated products● Lead and independently manage small projects● Lead medium sized projects● Lead work streams on large and/or complex projects.ResponsibilitiesSales / Pre-Sales● Demonstrate system functionality to prospects and clients● Possess a superior customer service ethic with accompanying communication and management skills● Provide input to support Sales and Marketing functions as required● Identify and communicate Business Development opportunities with new and existing clients● Identify recommendations for additional services and products within and without the project scope● Ensure customers are informed of forthcoming updates and new functionality Project Management● Identify and escalate risks and issues in a timely manner to the Project Manager● Manage Customer Expectations and be able to communicate status of issues and impacts with relevant client sponsors and process owners● Develop solution design documentation and GAP analysis to assist the client transform their business requirements and provide them with a vision of their roadmap to the final solution● Provide input to project plans for prospective and actual projects● Monitor progress against plan and communicate to stakeholders● Identify scope changes and communicate impact using relevant change control processes● Provide high-level estimates for design and implementation effortsDelivery● Deliver valued consultancy services to clients, ensuring objectives are met in accordance with the project management plans● Provide consultancy as required, providing guidance on both best use of product functionality and good business practices● Implement and support FinancialForce and associated products● Develop test scripts, communication, and training documentation deliverables● Help troubleshoot and resolve customer environment problems● Show commercial awareness in decisions, actions and communications● Provide quality assurance in all aspects of the solution design, build, test and deployment stages of the project● Conduct key and end user application training and provide appropriate documentation for follow up when required● Lead customer design workshops, analyse requirements and processes, map and document a solution design● Oversight of application build, test and deployment activities Knowledge● Ensure knowledge is shared and retained throughout the organisation● Maintain and develop knowledge and understanding of FinancialForce products.● Complete Training activities and proactively looks for training opportunities● Mentor and helps in the development of direct reports● Keep abreast of industry trends and contemporary business practicesSafety & Compliance● Comply with Health and Safety policies and procedures on/off site.● Uphold ISO27001 Information Security policies within the department and function.● Comply with Environmental Management policies and procedures on/off site.● This position has the authority to carry out the occupational health and safety responsibilities and accountabilities expected of it. Qualifications and Experience● Hold at least one Professional Qualification for example an Accounting Designation● Have at least 5 years of FinancialForce experience (or equivalent)● Tertiary qualified, preferably in a business, finance or IT related discipline or equivalent experience with 2-5 years’ experience in a similar role.● Experience/knowledge of the application of standard Project Management Methodologies (including but not limited to Prince2 and PMBOK).● Experience in liaising directly with clients and their staff.● Experience in liaising with other software or solution providers to ensure interface requirements are understood and where necessary documented.● Business analysis and workshop facilitation skills● UBW related SQL database skillsCompetencies and Behaviours● Nurtures trusted advisor status with our customers● Thorough operational understanding of FF and associated product suite.● Sound understanding and use of the company’s Implementation Methodology● Shows commercial awareness in decisions, actions and communications● High levels of numeracy and grasp of general accounting principles and contemporary business practices.● Highly skilled approach to relationship management with client representatives and their staff.● Sound matter management in relation to documentation of project deliverables.● Independent and strategic thinking.
