Are you the one we’re looking for?
We are seeking an experienced and well rounded professional to take on this exciting and challenging position. Reporting to the Manager of Utilities, you will perform a variety of technical work related to water supply & distribution, sewage collection, sewage pump stations and other related water and wastewater facilities. Activities required include data collection & analyses, hydraulic network analysis, system planning, design, budgeting, conducting investigations, writing letters & memos, preparation of contract documents, project management, construction supervision for the installation, construction and rehabilitation of water & wastewater infrastructure projects.

As a graduate from a University engineering program or an Institute of Technology Civil Engineering Technology Program you will bring your knowledge of Civil Engineering Principles and be able to apply it directly to municipal engineering utilities work.;

You bring demonstrated experience in: the application of sound engineering and technical knowledge to municipal utility projects; practices and procedures related to water and wastewater systems; knowledge and experience in water & sewer modeling software; collection & analysis of field data; excellent communication and computer skills;, and, an interest in gaining knowledge and understanding of national, provincial and municipal laws, bylaws, codes and regulation governing municipal engineering works.

The desired candidate will have several years of related work experience and

  • Registration or eligibility for registration as an Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) with EGBC; or,
  • Certification or eligibility for certification and an Applied Science Technologist with ASTTBC.

This position requires a valid class 5 B.C. Driver’s License, or the ability to obtain one.
