Senior Business Analyst

The Strategic and Corporate Services Department – Information Technology Division, requires a regular full-time Senior Business Analyst. This position will be a key resource in our projects to enhance our City’s Permitting and Licensing, and Asset Management software. As a highly-motivated member of the Business Applications team you will leverage your proven business analysis, technical, and oversight skills to provide clear project leadership and guidance on the solution configuration and implementation of enhancements, while helping to grow our team’s capacity and efficiency.
Reporting to the Manager, Applications and GIS Services, your make-it-happen approach and organizational skills will allow you to prioritize workloads and meet deadlines. You enjoy technology and enjoy bringing business value to work teams. Your strong and proven interpersonal abilities in facilitating multidisciplinary teams will allow you to forge collaborative working relationships and ensure success in this position.
You will possess a diploma/degree in computer science or a related discipline, with at least three years related experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Sound knowledge of information technology, system and database design, programming techniques, and project management using agile methodology, would be assets. Experience with Infor Public Sector and maximizing the value of major municipal business systems would be definite advantages. In addition, a valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License is required.
Shortlisted candidates may be required to complete standardized tests or exercises to demonstrate their applicable skills and knowledge.
$44.78 to $52.91 per hour
(Pay Grade 28 – January 2021 rates)
Hours of Work:
Required hours may consist of any 7 consecutive hours between 7:00am and 11:00pm, Monday to Friday, and may also include an occasional shift on weekends or evenings. The City of North Vancouver currently works on a compressed work schedule with one scheduled day off (Monday or Friday) in approximately each three-week scheduling cycle.
