Gevity is recruiting for a Security Consultant who has experience researching processes and technologies, conducting risk assessments and providing recommendations to organizations to ensure that their security programs align effectively with their business objectives. DescriptionProvide research, support and recommendations to ensure adequate security and management of risk for clients’ systems and environment. Review and ensure that current Client security controls are effective and identify any gaps and work with Client IT teams to ensure the appropriate controls are implemented to address cybersecurity risk gaps.Conduct security risk assessments of health technology solutions for client organizations. Prepare required reports and contractual deliverables related to information security and in ensuring that Clients’ vendor contracts meet security requirements and benchmarks. Support policy development and apply technical knowledge to achieve business objectives, manage risks/threats, support compliance, and manage access in order to safeguard Clients’ information resources. Assist Client leadership in advancing security awareness and education through all levels of their organization. Experience and Skills:Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Security or a related field, and 3+ years of information security and information technology experience;Demonstrated experience in leading a number of security threat and risk assessments, interpreting results and remediating vulnerabilities;Demonstrated ability to design and administer configuration for common network and security devices (firewalls, routers, switches, intrusion detection/prevention, log management, etc.);Ability to research and draft information security policies and procedures, and recommend new information security technologies for implementation;Effective communicator (oral and written) and comfortable delivering presentations and making recommendations based on research and best practice to senior leadership;Familiarity with implementing regulatory requirements, cybersecurity industry frameworks and standards, (MARS-E, FFIEC, NIST, CIS 20 critical controls, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, etc. ) Preferred Certifications (progress towards or completion of):CISSP (Certified Information Security System Professional);CISM (Certified Information Security Manager);CRISC (Certified in Risk and Information Systems Control) Equality of opportunity and diversity of our company is important to us.
