Procurement Analyst

Our client in Burnaby is looking for a Procurement Analyst to assist with a 6-month project with the possibility of an extension depending on workload. Please see below for more info regarding the open position.

The Procurement Analyst processes procurement transactions as well as supports procurement processes and projects led by senior Supply Chain staff or managers.

Experience and Role Accountabilities
• A minimum of three (3) years of procurement-related work experience or equivalent
• Perform procurement activities such as creating, administering, and facilitating purchase orders and/or contract releases according to established processes and timelines.
• Utilize problem-solving and analytical skills to resolve issues as well as supporting other supply chain functions by providing information to others as required.
• Retrieve, manipulate, and interpret data using intermediate skills in supply chain management systems and computer applications such as PassPort, SAP and MS Office.
• Support sourcing events and resolve procurement issues in a fair and transparent manner by using good knowledge of supply chain concepts and public-sector procurement law to support the procurement of materials and services.
• Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with stakeholders through timely communication on the progress of their requests and issues.

Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field such as Supply Chain, Business, Economics, Finance, Accounting, Engineering or equivalent
• Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Advanced English skills for a professional environment, written and spoken
• Must have your own device for the remote role
