The position:

This is an executive position that has the power and authority to directly impact the success and future of Envision Painting. As the Field Supervisor you will be the on site presence of the production management team. Your main focus will be ensuring that all jobs come in on budget and on schedule. You will be visiting job sites to make sure all staff and subcontractors are adhering to our quality and safety standards. You will also be responsible for client check ins when on site, as well as resolving any client concerns requiring an in-person meeting. The Field Supervisor works closely with our Production Manager, and reports directly to the owners.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:


Conduct interviews for painters & subcontractors


Training painters & foreman
Ensuring systems are being followed on site by all staff and subcontractors
Problem solving challenging access issues as they arise on sites
Regular performance assessments of all staff and subcontractors.
Manage quality on all jobs sites. Perform quality inspections as required.
Negotiate contracts with subcontractors


Train employees in fall arrest systems, and bosun chair systems.
Ensure all staff and subcontractors are following proper safety procedures on site.
Regular safety meetings with all staff.

Work with the Production Manager to update the production schedule on a daily basis.
Approve hours every payroll.

Client Care:

Check in with clients when on site
Address any issues requiring an in-site meeting


Three (3) years experience in management
Five (5) years experience in painting
Well rounded product knowledge in architectural coatings
Complete knowledge of safety requirements on residential work sites
Proactive problem solver that can manage difficult situations with positive results
Ability to manage multiple personalities in a dynamic environment
Outstanding interpersonal skills
Red seal in painting is an asset
Construction experience is an asset
Knowledge in industrial coatings is an asset

Hours of work

8 hour shifts x 5 days/ week
8:00am – 4:30pm (slightly negotiable)

Expected start date: 2021-03-01

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
