Medical Equipment Installation Technician $18 – $20 Hour


Job Description:SUMMARY REMETRONIX work activities may include the coordination, installation, de-installation, relocation, service and service upgrades of high value complex equipment, but not limited to hospitals, universities and Federal Buildings, Various equipment from each modality may include but not be limited to X-Ray, Angio/Cardiology, CT, MR, NM, RF, Digital Pathology and Home Land Security equipment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 100% travel is requiredResponsible to follow all safety OSHA guidelinesMaintains a safe work environment through safe work practicesMaintains integrity of confidential informationMaintains customer relationships, and complies with REMETRONIX SOP (Standard Operating Procedures), policies, customer requirements, statutory and regulatory guidelinesInvestigates error trends and makes corrective action recommendationsGenerates Day One, Final Quality Assurance Checklist and daily PM updates as neededWorks with customers to determine the most efficient and effective manner for equipment installation, service and maintenance to meet customer expectationsGenerates Best Practices as applicableRepresents REMETRONIX and the customer in a professional and courteous mannerTroubleshoot problems encountered in the field (equipment)Ability to use electronic measurement devices (ie. Oscilloscope, multi-meter, etc) to troubleshoot electronic equipmentAbility to read electronic schematics/printsHas knowledge of electrical concepts/theories relating to equipment system boardsMaintains the highest level of quality and technical skill levelCommunicates issues and corrective actions with HQ and/or Manager on a daily basisComplies with customer and ISO 9001:2008 requirements.Acts with a sense of urgency based upon situations and management direction SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Consults with customer Project Manager on site related issues (site readiness, status completeness, and out of scope work)Demonstrates Leadership AbilityManages and coordinates rigging of equipment on job sites as needed QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or a comparable amount of experience related to the work activities or equivalent combination of education and experience. Electro/Mechanical experience (based upon experience in other areas, Electro/Mechanical and electronic measurement equipment experience and/or training requirement maybe deferred for up to 1yr, where employee is able to take online training) LANGUAGE SKILLS Must be able to read, write and speak the English language Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. COMPUTER SKILLS Moderate understanding of how a computer works. Ability to navigate and use: email, Microsoft office products and the internet MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure. Ability to compute rate, and ratio. Ability to read Metric and Standard measurements and use leveling methods to complete related work activities. CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS Must have excellent communication skills, be punctual, and courteous in accordance with on-site etiquette. Must conduct himself/herself in a professional manner. Requires the ability to work closely with the customer in accurately describing issues at hand and form a corrective action plan. REASONING ABILITY Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematic or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must be a REMETRONIX Team Leader in the appropriate modality in accordance with the performance level criteria of the company. Prove and maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Use of both hands and fingers with dexterity. Great hand/eye coordination and ablity to work on a ladder. Must be able to lift 75lbs of cables or equipment. WORK ENVIRONMENT Monitor the safety and environmental conditions within the designated facility and deploy awareness to the on-site team in accordance to the REMETRONIX Safety Manual.
