We are committed to helping people find their inner strength and reach their goals.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the development of operations of the childcare department of Gold’s Gym BC’s fitness clubsCreate and implement innovative childcare activities or education programs to encourage continual development and learningEnsure that the childcare health and service standards are met at each facility and the cleanliness is maintained at the highest level to meet or exceed provincial and federal health regulationsAchieve child minding sales and budget requirements as determined by management for each location Develop monthly schedules for the Child Minders to ensure adequate staffing for each locationTrain the Child Minders on proper childcare service proceduresManage and follow up with the Child Minders to ensure that proper protocol is followed and that they have input into planning and have opportunities for improving the overall experience of the Kids ClubCommunicate effectively with the Child Minders to ensure up-to-date information is known between the department Maintain adequate records on individual children to ensure proper registration protocol Monitor appropriate members’ accounts to ensure that childcare service fees are accurately billed and paid promptly Send immediate notifications to all staff and members in the case that a child has contracted an illness that is linked to a contagious outbreakProfessionally mitigate any parent issues and complaints by collecting information to investigate the situation and appropriately come to a resolution in a timely manner Prepare, audit and submit payroll on behalf of the Child Minders to Head Office Build and maintain positive and professional relationships with the child minders and the children’s’ parents/guardians/caretakers Work closely with all functional teams (human resources, operations, personal training, marketing, finance, customer service, etc.) as a key contributor to the company’s overall success and profitabilityStrategize new and innovative ways to generate revenue for the department Create event opportunities to have Kids Club benefit larger communityCreate promotions and partnerships that will bring more exposure to childminding departmentWork with Team Leaders to ensure they are supported and train them for leadership skills Implement policies to have childminding staff gain earning potential QualificationsEarly Child Care Education Certificate and a minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience in a day care and/or childcare environment Current CPR, and Child and Infant First Aid certificationsCompletion of a clear Criminal Record CheckProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Passion in working with childrenCreativity, initiative, enthusiasm and empathyCommitted to delivering exceptional customer service Have a positive attitude and outstanding, adaptive communication skills with children and adults What We OfferPositive, rewarding, and collaborative team environmentCompetitive compensationComplimentary club membershipDiscount on Gold’s Gym products and servicesNOTE: This job description is intended to describe the general requirements for the position.
