IT-IM Analyst/LAN Administrator
$39.93 – $43.64 per hour

If so, the City of Langford invites you to apply for a Full-Time IT-IM Analyst/LAN Administrator position with the West Shore RCMP Detachment!
This exciting position is responsible for the technology which enables all aspects of modern police work including the configuration, administration and maintenance of the Information Technology (IT) Infrastructure and the Local Area Network (LAN). This position is also responsible for network and systems security. Specific duties include but are not limited to:
- Set-up, install, configure and maintain a broad range of IT infrastructure;
- Provide real-time support to City of Langford Police Services staff and RCMP members;
- Maintain inventories of equipment and licenses, and arrange for maintenance, repair or replacement of equipment;
- Monitor performance of the LAN, diagnose problems, and recommend network standards, architecture improvements, and changes; and Monitor and maintain security and security access, and educate users on security policies and procedures.
Our successful candidate will have a 2-year diploma in computer science or a related discipline, and at least 2 years’ experience, ideally in a policing environment. You will have strong organizational skills, be able to work in a team environment and multi-task through various duties and assignments. CCNP and MCSE certification and exposure to police-related systems such as PRIME, CPIC, Webforms and Bitlocker is considered an asset. Ability to obtain Enhanced Security Clearance at the “Secret” level is required.
The salary range offered for this full-time position is $39.93 to $43.64 per hour with benefits. This is a CUPE Local 50 position. This position may be required to work overtime hours including statutory holidays and weekends where operationally necessary.
