Intermediate Interior Designer

Job Overview:
Looking for Intermediate/Senior Designer capable of working both independently and as a team to create both interesting design packages for clients and builders.

Responsibilities and Duties:
– The ability to work within described project design and project budget
– The ability to maintain good quality control while working on a variety of projects
– To provide design development and direction from concept through to completion
– To provide ongoing review of drawing production and report to management
– Performs meetings with client, engages sub-consultants and reviews
– To attend site meeting and provide site inspections
– To review billing of projects internally and review sub-consultant’s invoices
– To assist Sales/ Marketing in responding to new business opportunities
– To seek and identify new work associated with existing projects through all phases of design from programming, concept development, design development, contract documentation, to contract administration phases
– To prepare drawings, documentation, and specification information. Special emphasis on both conceptual and detail construction drawings.
– To manage contract administration, site instruction, change orders, P.O’s and the like
– Time tracking and billing

Qualifications:

– Excellent communication skills
– Teamwork skills
– Time management and multitasking strengths
– Proficient in problem solving
– A sound knowledge of interior construction details is expected
– Knowledge of BC building codes
– Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
– Degree in Interior Design

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
