The Regional District of Nanaimo is seeking a Permanent Full-time Instrumentation Technician.

The Instrumentation Technician contributes to the effective operation of the Wastewater Services for the Regional and Community Utilities Department through ensuring the continued safe operation and maintenance of the instrumental equipment and electrical systems of the Wastewater Treatment plant processes and pump stations.

High school graduation, Apprenticeship and Electrical Trade Qualification with Interprovincial Standard issued by the Province of B.C, together with a minimum of five (5) years’ electrical/electronic, instrumentation and control experience, preferably in a municipal wastewater collection and/or wastewater facility.

Valid BC Electrical Safety Branch Class B. Possession of a valid Class 5 BC Drivers Licence

This is a permanent full-time (40 Hours per week) Union Position. The (2020) rate of pay is $35.26 to $37.12. The position offers an attractive benefits package as provided within the collective agreement between the Regional District of Nanaimo and the Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 401.
