We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented leader with strong collaboration and communications skills to balance security and the City’s requirements to oversee the City’s security infrastructure, in this one year temporary full time exempt role.

Reporting to the Manager, Information Technology, you will be responsible for the configuration and deployment of security software and hardware; troubleshooting; conducting network security testing and assessments, and reporting and remediating as required; participating in the acquisition and evaluation of security hardware and systems; developing recommended changes to security policies and practices; elevating security awareness; and, providing guidance to other staff and departments.

You have a post-secondary diploma in a relevant Information Technology discipline such as security or network, and at least five years of relevant experience.  Credentials related to cyber security (e.g. CISSP, CCSP, GCIA, GCIH) are preferred.  A valid class 5 BC Driver’s License is also required.

During the recruitment process, applicants will be requested to provide a current Police Information Check (PIC).
