Information Technology Assistant
The District of Summerland has an excellent, full-time opportunity for an Information Technology (IT) Assistant. The District of Summerland is looking for a motivated, energetic individual to join our dynamic team. The IT Assistant delivers a high level of corporate customer service related to the District’s information management needs, including support and training to staff to optimize their use of the District’s information technology and telecommunications systems.
The successful applicant will have excellent problem-solving skills and take initiative to resolve computer/equipment issues. Communication and interpersonal skills are essential in providing support to approximately 100 employees in various departments. The ability to configure and apply the techniques of end-user computer hardware and software and end-user telecommunications equipment installation, configuration, and maintenance is a must.

This is a full-time CUPE position and offers an hourly rate of $32.11 per hour ($30.50 until six-month probation is complete) as well as a competitive benefits package and pension.
