Job Description We are looking for someone who embraces the entrepreneurial spirit and can handle the demands of a fast-growing startup. Ground has emerged as the leader in the news comparison space. Now, we are looking to jump from the niche to the mainstream and further develop the market that we created. The right candidate will play an integral part in guiding our growth efforts and leave their fingerprint on Ground News for years to come. Ground News is based in Kitchener, Ontario, but this role is remote. We proudly have remote workers who work for us in California, Michigan, France, Germany, Serbia, and more. What you’ll be responsible forTransforming fun and exciting ideas into creative marketing campaigns and then leading the campaign from ideation to executionExploring new marketing channels for growth, relentlessly testing and optimizing different strategiesWorking with the product and engineering teams to design tools and features for user acquisition and that impact user retention, satisfaction, and revenueManage experiments from setup through results, leveraging analytics tools to monitor their impact and report on findingsLead marketing campaign development elements through various news cyclesRegularly test creative, pricing, timing, and other elements of our marketing campaigns to better understand what resonates with our usersCollaborate with designers to develop images, gifs, and videos that amplify the meaning of the campaign Ideal candidateA proven strong performer with 3+ years experience in growth marketing, marketing project management, creative strategy, or a similar role.Experience working with consumer-facing products or apps is a plus, especially if you’ve worked in a startup, digital subscription business, or high growth environmentDeep experience and understanding of customer acquisition channels, and talented at testing, measuring, and iterating to achieve exceptional results.Excellent storytelling abilities, experience in bringing a brands message to lifeEnjoys working on a small team where the opportunity to make an impact is highIs very organized and can thrive with ambiguity and conflicting prioritiesHas an entrepreneurial mindset and gets excited about being scrappy to spin up experiments, test ideas, and iterate on learningsAn interest in the media/political landscape (both Canada and US)Expertise in all things modern social media (YouTube, IG, Twitter, Newsletters and Podcasts)The ability to work remotely If you believe we would be a good fit for you, send your resume and cover letter to Job ID: 25159704
