Northlands Golf Course established in 1997 is a 6400-yard, par 71, 18 hole public golf course owned and operated by the District of North Vancouver. We are currently accepting applications for two regular full time Golf Course Maintenance Worker 3’s to join our team. Northlands: ‘Where Nature is Your Playing Partner’ is located on 135 magnificent acres of mountainside rain forest at the base of Mt. Seymour in North Vancouver. We provide the public with year round golf at an affordable green fee on this beautifully designed Les Furber championship course.

We currently have an opening for two full time Golf Course Maintenance Worker 3’s to join our turf care team. Reporting to the Assistant Turf Care Supervisor, you will perform all of the activities included in a comprehensive maintenance program on an 18-hole golf course.

You will have experience in operating motorized golf course maintenance equipment; training and directing staff; irrigation installation and repair; applying fertilizers and pesticides, as well as knowledge and experience in golf course maintenance. You are capable of working outdoors in all weather conditions with minimal supervision, and you must be able to demonstrate independence in judgement and action. We are looking for a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a comprehensive golf course maintenance program. A recognized certificate, diploma or related courses in Turfcare Management or a related field would be a definite asset. A valid Class 5 BC Drivers Licence and a valid BC Pesticide Applicators License in General Landscape, or IPM certificate are required.

The wage rate for this unionized position is $29.37 per hour based on a maximum of 37 hours per week, along with a comprehensive benefits package including a defined benefit pension plan. The typical work week is flexible and could include a weekend day, however these days are subject to change on operational need.
