Formsetter – Concrete Finisher

The Engineering, Parks and Environment Department (Engineering Operations) requires a Regular Full-time Formsetter – Concrete Finisher (Streets).
You will perform skilled form setting and concrete finishing work in the construction, maintenance, and repair of sidewalks, curbs, gutters and pavements. Specifically you will construct and set forms according to predetermined line and grade; pour, tamp, and finish concrete surfaces to prescribed standards; and direct the work of one or more helpers engaged in the work.
You will have considerable related form setting and concrete finishing experience, preferably related to municipal maintenance and construction projects. The ability to complete the work to prescribed specifications and standards, to work from plans and cut sheets, and to direct the work of others is also required. A valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License is also required.
$31.50 per hour
(January 2019 rates)
Hours of Work:
8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday
