We have an opening for the seasonal, full-time position of FireSmart Ambassador. The successful candidate will have experience delivering customer education programs and holds a valid BC driver’s license. Preference will be shown to candidates with experience as a paid- on-call volunteer fire fighter.
You possess knowledge of BC FireSmart, Emergency Management BC and BC Wildfire Service and have Local FireSmart Representative qualifications issued by FireSmart Canada, including knowledge of risk assessment principles and inspection procedures.
Reporting to the Manager, Protective Services, the FireSmart Ambassador is responsible for delivering FireSmart education programs to the public, as well as assisting with the initial implementation and establishment of the FireSmart program.
