Financial Analyst – Regional District of Central Okanagan (Kelowna, BC)

Financial Analyst

The Financial Services Department has an opening for the full-time position of Financial Analyst.  Reporting to the Financial Manager, you will provide a variety of technical accounting work at a senior level including preparation of financial reports, assisting with budgets and financial monitoring, and completing analysis and reconciliation. You’ll exercise technical independence and professional analysis within the guidelines of established accounting system practices and municipal accounting standards.

Qualifications

  • CPA designation and 5 years’ related work experience with working knowledge of Public Sector Accounting Board standards.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, Outlook and Caseware. Experience using Vadim and GIS would be beneficial. 
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.

This is a full-time position to commence as soon as possible.  We offer a salary of $44.20 per hour and a full range of benefits.
