We’re a proud West Coast company, with a vision to create possibilities for people to live longer, healthier, more fun lives.  We’re looking for a Financial Accountant to join our team, and we hope that search ends with you. Financial Accountant  As the new Financial Accountant, you will be a key member of the finance team.  You will report directly to the Controller and will also be available to support President & CIO on the Hold It All Investment Function. You’ll be responsible for managing the routine transactions of the group of companies and assisting with the preparation of consolidated month end reporting.  Here’s some of what you’ll be working on: * Accounts payable – liaising with vendors, obtaining approvals, and ensuring timely payments* Invoicing and accounts receivable – receiving and recording payments and making bank deposits * Banking – monitoring balances of several accounts, preparing and managing short-term operational cash forecasts * Diarizing monthly payments* Drafting intercompany chargebacks * Monthly reconciliations and journal entries * Preparation and filing of corporate and personal remittances (installments, GST, payroll)* Preparation of consolidated monthly financial reporting* Posting investment journal entries and updating the investment continuities to draft the entries* Drafting and recording of investment and recurring other journal entries * Drafting of financial statements, net worth statements, cashflow statements, etc.* Preparation of working papers for personal and corporate income tax filings * Assisting with drafting tax returns and related forms * Quarterly GST and monthly GST returns* Assisting with CRA audits * Organizing and maintaining accounting and investment files * Assisting in the preparation of the annual operating plan and review of internal controls* Supporting the President & CIO of Hold It All on an ad hoc basis on company and industry research and financial analysis. This role is perfect for an intermediate-level accountant motivated to get the experience required to complete their CPA designation. We are currently working under a hybrid model with the option to work from home, although once safe to do so, this position will be full time in office. We value learning, integrity, and fun, and are passionate about working with people who share these values.  Qualifications: * Ideally, between 2-3 years of accounting experience  * Currently pursuing CPA designation / enrolled in the CPA program * Strong computer proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) with intermediate to advanced level proficiency in Excel * Bachelor’s degree in commerce, business, finance, or related field* Willingness and ability to pass a criminal background record check* Knowledge of Sage Business Vision is an asset but not required  How to Apply Our online application will give you the option to apply to this role as a complete person – not just a resume.
