An exciting opportunity exists within our Facilities team for a Facilities Maintenance Program Manager. In this role you will be responsible for developing building operations and maintenance programs and managing projects and initiatives to sustain and renew District facilities. You will develop a comprehensive maintenance strategy that aligns with the District’s asset management plan and all regulatory requirements. You will also be responsible for: direct supervision of a small maintenance team; development of preventative maintenance plans; procurement of consultant, service and construction contracts, and; negotiation and oversight of maintenance agreements with building occupants. The role will include operational oversight of HVAC, mechanical, electrical systems, DDC controls, security and access control systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing operating budgets, maintenance program priorities, scope, and delivery strategies. You will prioritize, plan and execute minor and major maintenance projects and initiatives from start to finish.

You will be a seasoned professional with extensive knowledge of best practices and priorities for building maintenance and operations. The ideal candidate will have a university degree in Science, Business, Engineering or Architecture or equivalent combination of technical skills and significant experience in the building industry, supplemented by a minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience. Related professional registrations and certifications (EGBC, AIBC, IFMA, PMP, LEED AP, etc.) are an asset. A valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence is required.
