Job Description:Executive Head Chef – Award Winning Hospitality Group Salary: $150,000 Location: Vancouver, BC We’re currently recruiting for an Executive Head Chef for an amazing Hospitality Group! Our client will pay for relocation and sponsorship! We are looking for an Executive Chef to oversee the Kitchen Management and Culinary Offerings for a collection of our clients fine dining and casual establishments. This will be a \”hands on role\” working directly with the location BOH Managers and their teams. The ideal candidate must have prior kitchen management experience and a very strong understanding of the Hospitality Industry. Role and Responsibilities:Manage the culinary aspect of each venue, working collaboratively with the other members of the management teamCo-ordinate, plan and manage menu development, roll-outs and culinary training for the teams with the managementHandle recipe development, food cost analysis, menu planning and pricingEnsure the highest standards of sanitation, cleanliness and safety are always maintained throughout all kitchen areasFocus on profitability through food and labor cost initiatives including minimizing waste and theftMotivate and coach culinary staff to work together as a team to ensure quality standards are consistently attainedHire, train, schedule, and discipline employeesPerform weekly auditsMonitor inventory and order all necessary supplies for each locationProvides data for related budget areas (food and labor costs)Establishes a maintenance schedule for all kitchen equipment Job Qualifications & Requirements:Michelin Star and Fine Dining ExperienceMulti-Unit Experience is required3-5 years’ experience in the same or a similar role7+ years’ Restaurant ExperienceDiploma, Certificate or Degree in Culinary Arts, or equivalentEnergetic Team Leader with the ability to motivate team to produce accurate, complete and quality workAttention to detail, takes initiative, has a hands-on approachThrives in a fast-paced environment; works well under pressureAble to build positive rapport and communicate easily with colleagues and staff
