Full Time Position

We are seeking a versatile individual with a team oriented style and significant experience for this position.

Reporting to the Operations Foreman this position will perform skilled work involving the operation, minor maintenance and servicing of a variety of medium to large size mobile construction equipment and related attachments used for the construction and maintenance of municipal facilities. Applicants should have significant experience operating equipment such as a tractor mower with boom, rubber tire hydraulic backhoe and tandem axle dump truck. Experience on the use of winter maintenance equipment such as sanders and snowplows is required. Thorough knowledge of the rules and regulations governing the safe operation of equipment is essential to your success in helping to build and maintain a strong safety culture. We are looking for a positive individual able to make meaningful contributions to our existing team. Applicants must possess the physical stamina to work outdoors in all weather, have excellent interpersonal skills, and embrace our vision of maintaining and enhancing Pitt Meadows’ natural beauty.

The successful candidate is required to have completed high school and have considerable related experience in the operation and services of heavy construction and maintenance equipment. A Class 3 Driver’s License with Air Brake Endorsement for the Province of British Columbia is required.

The hours of work for this position will be mainly scheduled between Monday and Friday, but applicants must be willing to work overtime and/or participate in the standby rotation.

This is a full time CUPE position with a salary of $32.25 per hour, plus benefits.
