This challenging and rewarding role involves technological and administrative work in planning, developing, implementing and monitoring Municipal engineering projects performed by staff, developers, consultants and private contractors. The work includes administration and management of short and long range projects, processing non-routine Municipal construction projects, preparation of annual divisional and long term project budgets, liaison with a variety of internal and external contacts, provision of non-routine technical information, providing advice and interpretation and preparation of reports.
Your success in this role requires considerable knowledge of Municipal engineering practices including their application in project design and in the preparation, review, analysis and interpretation of engineering plans, specifications, contract documents and related material. The position also requires collaboration with a variety of internal and external contacts.
You have a diploma in a related discipline (such as Civil/Structural Engineering) from an institute of technology plus considerable related Municipal engineering experience. Certification or eligibility for certification as an Applied Science Technologist within the Province of BC, along with a valid BC Driver’s License, is required.

A CUPE hourly rate of $42.12 – $49.76 (2020 rates), an excellent benefits package and participation in our Earned Day Off program is being offered. Applicants under consideration will be required to undergo a police security clearance evaluation.
