The District of Squamish is looking for a temporary full-time Economic Development Specialist to bring their expertise to the Economic Development Department. This Specialist will play an integral role by supporting the growth of our local economy.

We’re looking for someone with a knack for project management, with a keen understanding of market research and with the ability to perform in-depth analysis. This role requires someone with a marketing and communications background, an aptitude for customer service, and the will to support the administrative needs of the department.

The successful candidate will possess a bachelor degree in commerce, economic development, or a related discipline, possess a valid BC Class 5 driver’s license, have a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a focus on research and analysis supplemented with 2 years concurrent (or consecutive) experience in project management and business relationship management or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

This is a Union position within the Collective Agreement of CUPE Local 2269 and the District of Squamish.
