Digital and eCommerce Senior Manager
Rack Attack LP is North America’s premier retailer of vehicle rack solutions, with 8 retail locations across Canada. We are focused on supporting our customers’ outdoor lifestyle through the sale, installation and servicing of automotive racks, hitches, cargo boxes and rooftop tents for hobbies including cycling, skiing, surfing, and kayaking.
We are currently looking to hire a permanent, full-time Digital and eCommerce Senior Manager to join our team at our corporate office in Vancouver, British Columbia. Reporting directly into the CEO, the Digital and eCommerce Senior Manager will have a pivotal role in developing and managing digital marketing and eCommerce operations, including our company’s online presence, and driving brand awareness online to promote and maximize online sales, and ensure the delivery of an exceptional online customer experience.
The specific responsibilities of the position will include:
Planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the digital strategy of Rack Attack LP, which includes managing products, offers and all online content.
Strategizing, planning, directing, and executing campaigns, including email campaigns, to drive traffic to the website via email promotions, referrals, and search engine optimization (“SEO”).
Directing and managing our external agency running paid advertising campaigns.
Establishing and managing content strategy to drive traffic and build audiences to the website long-term.
Improving website conversion rate using A/B testing, user research and user testing.
Developing the SEO strategy and establishing and evaluating marketing strategies to implement to grow organic online traffic, as well as our database and customer base via digital activations.
Collaborating with the Marketing Manager on social media activations and retail marketing.
Preparing internal reports and establishing Key Performance Indicators (“KPIs”) to evaluate the success and to set goals for the digital business.
Managing annual budget for the marketing department.
Analyzing customer data to identify buying trends and customer psychology.
Briefing and managing external parties such as web developers, graphic designers, and copywriters.
Developing subject matter expertise in assigned product categories and taking ownership of daily business administration.
Evaluating the data and growth of the website to deliver an efficient return on investment, and amending digital strategies as required to promote and maximize online sales.
Managing ecommerce managers at various online order fulfillment sites.
In order to perform the responsibilities of this position, the following skills and qualifications are required:
Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience.
Extensive experience (ideally 10 years +) in marketing and project management, with substantial experience with retail and ecommerce marketing.
Knowledge and familiarity of the rack industry in North America.
Demonstrated experience with Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Data Studio, Google Ads and Facebook Ads.
Ability to successfully manage annual budget for an entire marketing department.
Direct experience with managing external agencies, contractors, and freelancers.
Experience with marketing tools including MailChimp, Sendy, InVision, Dovetail
Understanding of SEO tools, specifically SEMRush.
Experience with user testing, screening and test plan creations (preferably through User Testing).
English proficiency. Daily interactions and written communication for the position will be conducted in English.
This is a permanent full-time position (40-hours per week) that will be based at Rack Attack LP’s corporate office located at 2015 – 2021 Columbia Street, Vancouver, British Columbia, V5Y 3V6. In response to COVID-19, remote work will be available until the state of emergency in the area has been lifted, and it is safe to return to the physical office space.
The wage offered for this position will reflect the candidate’s level of experience and will be in the range of CAD$110,000 and CAD$125,000. A comprehensive health spending account will also be offered, which includes an annual allotment of funds which can be used for various disability, dental, health, and medical services. RRSP matching contributions, as well as an annual performance-based bonus will be available after completion of one year of employment.
