What will you do?
As a Data Engineer with our Downtown Vancouver client, you will:
•Use structured tools for analysis and presentation of concepts and models to enhance the BRD.
•Develop, maintain and deliver training materials to the supply chain end-users.
•Work collaboratively with external consultants, internal & external resources throughout the project lifecycle to ensure system modifications meet business needs.
•Support daily reporting needs where required.
•Support production issues as related to application functionality and integrations (After Go-Live).
How do you qualify?
To qualify for the Data Engineer role with our Downtown Vancouver client, you must have:
•Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields.
•5+ years’ experience with PL/SQL for scripting.
•2-3 years’ experience managing data warehouses and ETL pipelines.
•2-3 years’ experience in dealing with big data and data manipulation.
•6 months-one year experience with Java.
•Expert level understanding of software development practices and project life cycles.
•Able to work as a back-end developer (PL/SQL).
•Working Experience with cloud-native technologies.
•Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
•Strong analytical skills to support BAs.
•Strong problem-solving skills (Math skills required for data modeling).
What additional experience do you bring?
To be considered for the Data Engineer role with our Downtown Vancouver client, its beneficial to have:
•Familiarity with DevOps practices; CICD pipeline.
•Retail experience (fashion retail experience ideal).
•Working experience with cloud platforms (AWS and Azure).
•High level understanding of data architecture in Oracle Retail Management Systems an asset.
