We’re a proud West Coast company, with a vision to create possibilities for people to live longer, healthier, more fun lives. We’re looking for a Controller to join our team, and we hope that search ends with you.Controller: In this role, you’ll be responsible for accounting functions for our corporate bank accounts, managing external relationships with our vendors and service providers, and supporting our investing activities with financial due diligence. You will have support from a university educated professional working towards their CPA and will report to the President and Chief Investment Officer of Hold It All Inc.Practically speaking, you will: * Oversee and approve accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, general banking and monthly reconciliations* Liaise with vendors, obtain approvals, ensure timely payment, and manage banking relationships and oversee all reporting required by the relationships* Act as a signing authority for all corporate bank accounts and monitor balance of several accounts* Prepare and manage short-term operational cash forecast, file Corporate remittances (e.g., Instalments, GST, Payroll, etc.) * Prepare monthly financial reporting including Financial, Net Worth and Cash Flow Statements* Handle determination of appropriate accounting policies for complex transactions (e.g., foreign exchange, investments, intercompany balances, properties, etc.)* Assist with preparing annual operating plan and review of internal controls * Provide support to the Family with any finance/banking related questions, and investment due diligence as necessary* Support HIA’s investment function by performing financial due diligence on potential investment opportunities. * Assist with process optimization and improving any existing procedures and any other project focused work at the direction of the HIA President & CIO You’ll excel in this role if you are: * An excellent communicator – you get your message across clearly and effectively, and you know how to convey complex financial information in a manner that makes sense.* Detail-oriented – you take pride in the accuracy of your work, always remain organized, and you never let a small detail slip through the cracks.* A self-starter – you take initiative, and you simply do what needs to be done.
