Construction Manager (Heavy Civil)

We are currently seeking a Construction Manager for an exciting permanent opportunity in Kitimat, BC. This is the perfect career step for someone looking to enhance their project experience and be accountable for all heavy civil/earthworks construction. 14/7 schedule with flights and accommodations provided. What you’ll be doing:- Lead construction team in planning cost, scheduling, safety and performance decisions — reporting into the lead Project Manager. – Assess construction requirements and allocate construction resources to achieve project deliverables. – Provide professional supervision to direct reports, including direction, supervision, training, and mentorship. – Communicate construction expectations to all site managers, supervisors, foremen, safety staff and field crews.- Ensure construction activities are conducted safely and efficiently with respect to the use of time and materials.- Build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with project management, clients, field crews, and contractors; motivate field crews to work efficiently without waste.- Respond to project requests and needs for assistance with construction compliance and ensure all required construction permits are in place and updated as required.
