The District of Coldstream, a progressive community with a population of 11,300, situated in the beautiful Okanagan Valley, is seeking a highly motivated individual for the position of Clerk – Purchasing Assistant.

Reporting to the Director of Financial Administration or designate, the employee provides purchasing support for Financial Administration and other departments as required, with processing, tracking and expediting purchase orders, quotes, analytical spreadsheets, invoice payment coordination and other related duties. Liaises with the Director of Corporate Administration to provide clerical and administrative support services for Corporate Administration and as requested to other departments.

A valid BC driver’s license and safe driving record are required. The successful applicant will provide the District with a driver’s abstract and a police information check prior to the commencement of work.

The normal workday consists of a scheduled period of seven (7) hours of work between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. The normal work week shall consist of five (5) such consecutive days. The hourly wage is in accordance with the CUPE Collective Agreement of $30.57 per hour.
