The Civic Properties Electrician is responsible for the installation, alteration, repairs, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment of City buildings. The Civic Properties Electrician is responsible for all electrical work performed in their area that conforms to all applicable codes, regulations and directives. Additionally, this position performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled tasks within the Community Services Division including building and equipment repairs and maintenance.

Qualified candidates must have completion of Grade 12 along with BC (or Interprovincial) Trade Qualification Certificate as a Journeyman Electrician, Class B FSR (or ability to obtain within one year of hire) and a minimum of two (2) years experience in industrial motor controls and related electrical maintenance and installation. Candidates also require a valid BC Class 3 driver’s license with air endorsement and the ability to obtain an enhanced criminal record check.
