About the Opportunity
Currently, RAM Construction has exciting opportunities for multiple Carpenters and Carpenter Apprentices to join our team based in Delta, B.C. on a full-time basis. The successful candidates will be working on sites throughout the lower mainland.
As one of our new Carpenters or Carpenter Apprentices, you’ll work to ensure that our client’s projects are built to the highest quality standards and are completed both on time and within budget. This role will see you assisting our superintendents and foremen with various commercial and light industrial construction responsibilities.
Some of your key responsibilities within this role will include:
- Constructing, assembling, and dismantling concrete formwork according to blueprints and other instructions
- Ensuring the layout structure is as per the architectural/structural building plans and sketches by checking that all work is accurate
- Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with standard company procedures, rules, and regulations
More About You
In order to qualify for the Carpenter role, you’ll need 5-7 years of previous carpenter experience in commercial and industrial construction. In order to qualify for the Carpenter Apprentice role, you will need to be currently a second or third year Carpenter Apprentice, looking to learn and grow your career amongst skilled Carpenters in the trade.
As our ideal candidate, you’ll join us with excellent communication skills in both written and verbal form. Your attention to detail and your technical knowledge and proficiency using electrical, manual, and measurement tools will ensure your success as you work to support the completion of our projects. You’ll also join us with a natural aptitude for taking initiative, ability to be accountable and reliable, and possess the physical capabilities required to carry out the role.
Above all, you’ll have a passion for commercial and industrial construction and be eager to learn and build your skillset in a supportive team environment.
