Job Description:Business Development Manager – International Building Materials Manufacturer Vancouver or another major Canadian city$base + commission + benefits + expenses Six-Figure Total Compensation with huge growth potential One of North America’s largest building materials manufacturers with industry-leading products, established position as one of the market leaders in their vertical and internationally recognized brand name is looking to further expand their international foot print. With established distribution relationships in Russia, Japan, Australia, NZ, Chile, and Finland, the company already has experience creating and developing overseas relationships and already has revenue coming from these countries for which this role would be commissioned. However, the opportunity is enormous. The company’s products have clear unique selling points over internationally available products both in available colours and performance meaning that there are opportunities in many foreign countries to build market share. Each of the aforementioned countries would be your initial focus as you look to expand distribution relationships, work with existing distributors to increase sales / penetrate markets as well as identify new distribution partners to grow presence. The successful candidate will have demonstrated previously their ability to grow markets overseas. The country is not important as long as it is beyond North America. Most important is a proven ability to identify distribution partners and bring them onboard. You should be able to how you have driven sales through distribution as well as demonstrate knowledge of other distribution models such as a sales agent model. We need a flexible, bright and articulate solutions salesperson who has experience developing relationships and can demonstrate their ability to drive revenue through sales channel partners internationally. This is a rare opportunity in the building materials industry to represent a huge North American brand and take it overseas with very few limitations on the potential for growth. There is a base salary and commission on existing sales revenue but the reason you take this role is that you can see the potential for the sales growth and are attracted by the uncapped commission structure.
