The Town of Ladysmith is growing… quickly, and this position will play in important role in enabling its development. The Building Technologist will work with building professionals, public and staff to request information, explain deficiencies, and provide general and technical information on building regulations. In addition, this role will conduct reviews, coordinate application processing, provide code interpretation, complete the inspection of conventional buildings, and monitor code compliance within complex buildings.
We want you to be successful in your role. To ensure success we’ll need you to have a diploma in building technology or an interprovincial trades qualification in carpentry or plumbing and at least three years’ recent relevant experience with level I plumbing and level II building certifications.
