Casual as needed
The City of Dawson Creek invites applications for casual Aquatics Specialty Instructor positions. Under the general direction of the Aquatics Coordinator or designate, an instructor provides instruction in a number of aquatic programs and skills.
The successful applicants must demonstrate ability and possess Instructor Certification related to programs taught.
- Red Cross Water Safety Instructor Certification
- Fitness instruction: BCRPA recognized certification.
- Synchronized swimming instruction: BC Synchro Association recognized certification .
- Spring board diving instruction: BC Diving Association recognized certification.
- Water polo instruction: BC Water Polo Association recognized certification.
The successful applicants must comply with and receive approval of Security/Reliability Clearance and a Criminal Record Search, CPR Level “C” and have a demonstrated teaching and leadership ability. The successful applicants will have physical agility , the ability to complete duties requiring physical effort and a proven ability to provide excellent service to the public are required.
