Comfort Keepers is looking for an In-Home Companion to join our growing team. We are a leading in-home care provider for seniors and other adults that require a helping hand or companionship in their home.

In this position, you will provide non-medical, in-home support and home management services. Join a growing family dedicated to providing companionship, personal care, and other health care needs for seniors in their own homes. Both part and full-time positions available.

Our Comfort Keepers provide exceptional in home and companion experiences and assist with services detailed in our customized personal care service plans.

Duties and Responsibilities
Provide personal care to clients as outlined in their care plans. Provide companionship, meal preparation, light housekeeping (whatever it takes to help a senior stay at home). Adhere to providing personal care and help clients with their ADLs that is within the scope of practice for a Registered Health Care Aide. Assists clients in all activities of daily living/ hygiene assistance, bathing, grooming, linen changes and so forth. Assists clients with transfers, ambulation and exercises. Meets the safety needs of the client and uses equipment safely and properly.
Functions within the limits of own experience and knowledge, and practices safely and competently within the job description. Completes records and documentations accurately and thoroughly.

Must have a working permit in Canada

Negative TB Test completed within the last 2 years
Valid Criminal Record Check with vulnerable adult sector cleared – must be completed within the last year. (NND is set up for the process online at a reduced cost)

Other Skills and Abilities
Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in English
Ability to identify and report client care concerns to Care Designers when needed.
Must have smart cell phone
Salary: $16.00 to $17.00 /hour
