Advancement Opportunity: Highly likely Based on work performance.
$27.00 to $30.00 /Depending on experience
Hours: 40 – 45 hours per week (Seasonal highs and lows, Year Round)
Days: Monday – Friday (start, end times may vary depending on work site)7:00 AM – 3:30 PM,
some weekend work available.

Duration: Permanent, Full-time, Year-Round
This is a permanent position. Please do not apply if you are seeking temporary or short-term seasonal work.
Have the ability to help with PNP, LMIA applications.

Applicants will be evaluated over a 3-month work probation to
establish technical skills and soft skill.

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods, Bending, crouching, kneeling, Large workload

Transportation/Travel Information:
Mandatory, Valid driver’s license (Must send a driving abstract with resume)

Job requirements:

Ability to Supervise, give verbal directions, mentoring and coaching
1 to 4 people working crews of various levels of training (Entry level to Skilled)
Construct retaining walls, interlocking brick driveways, decks, fences, ornamental water features
Plant trees, shrubs, flowers
Place and spread topsoil and other required materials
Lay sod; grading (soil); and tree staking
Utilise, gas powered equipment, power tools, hand tools and other necessary equipment to complete
Move and transport materials using shovels, wheelbarrows, dollies and manual lifting
Perform other manual duties as needed and maintain a clean work site
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times as required
Unit paving
Construction of retaining walls
Landscape carpentry
All aspects of soft landscaping

Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots, weather appropriate clothing (Rain Gear)

Personal Suitability: Sound Judgement, Team player, Excellent oral communication, Initiative

Additional Skills: Maintain work records and logs, Read blueprints and drawings

Area of Specialization: Landscape construction installation

Equipment and Machinery Experience: Cut- off saw, Chainsaw, Skid steer, Front end loader, Backhoe, Pick-up truck, Small engine equipment.

Education,
Certification or a combination of education and hands-on experience.
Allen block, Dry stack, Interlocking paving, Irrigation, First Aid Level 1 or higher, Fall protection.
