Pacific Medical Outreach is a physician-led healthcare provider for at-risk, elderly of cognitively challenged citizens suffering from social isolation and transportation issues. Our team of Physicians, Nurses, LPNs and Caseworkers reach out to over 1000 unique individuals annually for medical assistance and provide ongoing care for 200 complex patients on a weekly basis. Outreach is done in person and through telemedicine platforms, utilizing technology and algorithmic analysis to provide medical relief and support for individuals in crisis or in need of regular care. Our team of award-winning practitioners is looking to expand our availability and expertise at this time.

We are looking for a self-motivated General Practitioner to add to our team. If you are interested in working in a growing organization and are compassionate working with at-risk clientele, we want to hear from you!

Schedule: Part time (4 and 8 hour shifts available)

Compensation: Fee for service with minimum guarantees. No overhead costs.

The ideal candidate would possess the following skill sets:

Patience, compassion and strong listening skills
Clear communication and a positive attitude
Excellent time management capabilities and flexibility
Patient focused including going above and beyond
Willingness to learn and develop new skills
Excellent computer skills

Education and Experience:

Licensed by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia (CPSBC) classified as a General Practitioner
Skilled and interested in addictions
Experience with Methadone and Suboxone. Kadian experience preferable.
Experience with the at-risk population
Open to exploring pilot projects with other physicians, specialists and clinics
