Due to projected workload volume over the next three (3) years, our Development Engineering Department is looking for a temporary full-time Development Engineer to join their team for a minimum one (1) year term, with strong possibility of extension for an additional two (2) years.
In this role, you will provide professional civil engineering oversight to determine the municipal engineering servicing requirements of land development applications; review and accept land development engineering drawings, and assist in managing the delivery of municipal assets by land developers. You will review and participate in multi-disciplinary engineering designs and technical studies, and produce comprehensive analysis and reports. You will work with and guide technical staff.
You are a proven communicator and coordinator with strong time management skills and the ability to find practical solutions to complex problems within a dynamic team. You are a Professional Civil Engineer with project management experience and a minimum of five years of progressive experience in municipal engineering services including planning, design, and construction management experience in the areas of water distribution, sanitary sewerage, drainage, transportation, and site servicing analysis. Construction field experience is an asset. You are flexible and able to cover the work of peers as required.
